Proffesors Lake, Brampton ,Ontario
Located at
1660 N Park Dr, Brampton, ON L6S 5S8 in Brampton, Ontario professors lake is a great place to fish. there are public boat rentals and a small beach, there are also washrooms and a small snack bar at the rec center. Proffesors lake is home to a Wide variety of small panfish and gamefish. The fish that live there are Bluegill,Rock Bass,Pumpkinseed,Yellow Perch,Common Carp, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, and Pike. For fishing spots near the rec centre is a great spot to fish. That side of the lake has a steeper drop off and is very rocky. Thus, provides lots of structure for the fish. In this area the most common fish are Rock Bass. Professors Lake is packed with them. But you can also catch sunnys and crappie. At that side of the lake for bait the best choice is Nightcrawler on a 6 inch hook. This will catch any species. But when targeting Rock Bass, Crappie, and Bass i recommend using a tube Jig or rubber Minnow on a 1 32 once or 64 once jig head. This will stop Bluegill taking your bait. When targeting Crappie use bigger baits because at Proffesors Lake there is always one lone crappie hunting for minnow and crayfish. For the other side of the lake away from the rec center its a bit different. In this area it drops of gradually. In this area you can catch plenty of perch, Sunnys, and bass. For this area use live baits such as nightcrawler and chum bread and corn. For targeting perch and Bass the fish are very smart. You will have to use scented baits such as Gulp, Grubs and Minnows to lure the fish.
